Accreditation

The Valley Insurance Program Joint Powers Agency (VIPJPA) has met all of the high professional standards established by the California Association of Joint Powers Authorities (CAJPA) in the areas of governance, finance, claims control, safety and loss prevention, excess coverage, and risk management. CAJPA's accreditation process requires reviews by independent consultants in all of these areas, including the areas of accounting, claims adjusting, and actuarial analysis. In 2012 VIPJPA achieved reaccreditation with excellence, this level of accreditation is reserved for those JPAs that exceed the mandatory requirements for accreditation and for which no conditions remain. The effective date of accreditation is determined by the Accreditation Committee and will continue for a three year period.
