According to YCCD Board Policy 6340, all contracts shall be processed through the Chancellor, Executive Vice Chancellor, or the College Presidents. The Board Resolution No. 07/08-09 designates the Chancellor, Executive Vice Chancellor, and Vice Chancellor as the official signers of contracts for the District. District procedure requires that all business and educational contracts be processed through the Executive Vice Chancellor's office for signature. In an effort to ensure that the College Presidents are involved in the process of contracting for services, materials, leases, and equipment, please be sure to attach the signed cover sheet to the contract before sending it to the Executive Vice Chancellor for signature. In order to expedite the process, at least two copies of the contract should be attached to the cover sheet. This will allow both parties to have an original contract in their files. Original fully executed contracts should be maintained in the office of the Executive Vice Chancellor for audit purposes.
