The YCCD Information Technology Department is comprised of six teams serving in distinct roles to meet the technology needs of the district. Collectively, these units work to support: security, enterprise application, enterprise infrastructure and operations, desktop support, audio/visual (media) support, and the service desk.

Brandon Ellenburg

Brandon Ellenburg is a seasoned IT leader with over 20 years of experience spanning leadership, cybersecurity, network engineering, and IT operations. He currently serves as Senior Director of IT at YCCD, having led security initiatives, infrastructure upgrades, and cross-functional teams across K–12 and higher education institutions.

Brian Menge

Brian Menge is a seasoned IT leader with over 20 years of experience in network engineering, cybersecurity, and strategic leadership. As the Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) for YCCD, he designs and supports the District’s security infrastructure, compliance, and policies. He holds a Master’s in Cybersecurity from the Georgia Institute of Technology and is a graduate of the CITE Certified CTO Mentor Program.

Margarita Guzman

Margarita Guzman is an accomplished technology executive with over 30 years of experience spanning a broad range of information technology roles. She currently serves as the Director of Technology Services and IT Service Desk, where she provides strategic leadership, drives operational excellence, and advances technology initiatives that strengthen institutional effectiveness and support student learning.
Margarita holds a Master’s degree in Information Systems Management, a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from California State University Stanislaus, and an Associate’s degree in Computer Science from Modesto Junior College, reflecting a strong technical foundation and a longstanding commitment to professional growth. She also maintains CISOA, ITIL, and Project Management certifications, underscoring her expertise in leading technology environments within the academic sector.
Recognized for her student centered leadership style, Margarita is dedicated to implementing innovative, reliable, and accessible technology solutions that enhance the learning experience, improve operational workflows, and empower faculty, staff, and students. Her work is guided by the belief that effective technology is essential to supporting student success and advancing the mission of education.

Jeff Swank

Jeff Swank has served as the Media Services Director since 2013 and has been a dedicated member of the Media Services team for more than 40 years.
Throughout his tenure, Jeff has helped shape a department that delivers high‑quality audio and video services in support of instruction, student services, and administrative operations across both colleges and Central Services.
Jeff is committed to empowering his team by removing barriers, ensuring access to the right tools and resources, and fostering creative problem‑solving through collaborative brainstorming.
He believes that even the most advanced technology has little value if it isn’t intuitive for users. Jeff takes great pride in the reliable, user‑friendly AV systems that the Media Services team has designed and implemented districtwide, solutions that make technology an asset rather than an obstacle.
