Single Sign-on (Instructions)

Students, Great News! Single Sign-On is here!

Wish you had to remember your user ID and password for all your school applications or services? You asked for it and we listened.

The college has moved to a Single Sign-On process. This means you will have one User ID and password to access many of your college applications or services! To do this, the college has created new student email accounts. You'll still have the same Office 365 with all the great applications available to you, with 5 FREE downloads, but with added security and capabilities. In this first phase, Office 365 and Canvas has moved to the new User ID and password. You will receive notice as we add additional college applications and services. This change will allow you and your instructors to share files and folders from OneDrive easily.

What do I need to know?

Look for this email in your personal and school email account!

You should have received an email in both your personal and school email accounts from your college (sender will be noreply@yosemite.edu). The email will look similar to this and have the subject line: Password Change for New Account.

If you don't see it, check the spam or junk folder.

What do I need to do?

IMPORTANT: Once your new @my.yosemite.edu account is created, communication from Waitlist permissions and Add Cards will only be sent to your new @my.yosemite.edu email.

Follow the instructions in the Password Change for New Account email sent you to create a password for your new student Office 365 account. This email is legitimate, so it is ok to click the link.

Note: your new email will be your first name and your w number, without any leading zeros. (Example: First Name = Susie; w0012506 = 12506) so the new email example is susie12506@my.yosemite.edu.

IMPORTANT: Your old student Office 365 account (@student.yosemite.edu) will no longer exist and IT is not supporting it anymore after this change. Move anything important from your old student account to your new student Office 365 (@my.yosemite.edu) account - this will not happen automatically! Remember to update any subscriptions or contacts you connected with your @student.yosemite.edu.

The Yosemite Community College District is pleased to offer you greater security with advanced technology. For further assistance contact the IT Service Desk at 209-575-7900.
