Secured wireless network access is currently available to all Columbia College, MJC, and YCCD staff throughout most of MJC east and west campuses wherever the YCCD network can be seen. Limited web browsing is available to all students. Enter username student and password 4wifi for access. The password is case sensitive.
To access the YCCD wireless network you will need:
- A laptop, PDA, or smartphone that supports 802.11a, 802.11b, or 802.11g wireless networking
- An operating system that supports 802.1x, WPA-TKIP or WPA2-AES, with PEAP authentication for wireless connections
- A valid YCCD active directory user account will give network access similar to wired connections
The following operating systems have been tested on the YCCD wireless network:

The following PDAs, Smartphones and Wirelss cards have been tested on the YCCD wireless network:
- AT&T Tilt
- Dell Axim v50 and v51v
- Cisco Aironet wireless network adapters
Intel 3984 a/b/g integrated wireless network adapters
Even though other operating systems, devices, and wireless network cards should be compatible, the District does not guarantee they will work with the wireless network. We are constantly working to provide as much compatibility as possible.
