Step 3. Set-up your inbox options

  1. Click the Options link at the top right side of the window, below the Sign out link. A drop down list will display.
  2. Click the More options... at the bottom of the list. The Options page will display.

  1. Under the Manage your Account heading, click the View and edit your personal information link. Your Account summary page will display.

  1. Click the Registered information link. The Registered information page will display.

(IMPORTANT: You must complete the information on this page)

  1. Fill out the form in the fields provided.
  2. Click the Save button. Your Account summary page will display with your name.
  3. Click the Hotmail link on the bar at the top of the screen next to the Home link.  Your YCCD/Windows Live Student E-mail Inbox will display. 
  4. You have successfully activated your YCCD/Windows Live Student E-mail. When you are ready to sign out follow the steps below.

(IMPORTANT: When you are finished using your e-mail, to protect the security of your mail account, you must quit out of Internet Explorer or Netscape. This is especially important when you are using a computer accessible to the public, such as one located in the computer labs.)

  1. Click the Sign out link on the top right side of the screen below your YCCD/Windows Live Student E-mail address. The Windows Live Sign in page will display.
  2. Click the Windows close button on your browser window.
  3. Now that you have accessed and activated your email account you can now log on to http://mail.live.com/ to check your messages, create your appointments and access your contacts.
