Classification Review

This website was developed to provide convenient and easy access for Classified and Leadership Team staff to retrieve forms and information needed for participation. Under the direction of the Chancellor, the Classification Review Advisory Committee was formed in the Summer 2009 and charged with the development of two internal processes which will replace the District's current 5-year classification study process. The first process, the Classification Review Process for Individual Job Classification Analysis, is now complete and open to Classified Staff and Leadership Team members who wish to participate.

If you choose to participate in this first Individual Job Classification Review Process: The deadline for submissions is noon, October 9, 2009.

It is the responsibility of the employee to provide the required documents and information to Human Resources. Please begin by reading the Individual Job Classification Review Process to familiarize yourself with the requirements. The Stakeholders Accountabilities and Roles identifies the responsibilities of all parties, and is provided for your reference. The Classification Review Document (CRD) has been created as an interactive pdf form. Please note that a signed original CRD, along with other required documents, must be submitted. A Checklist is available as a tool to insure you have completed and included all requirements with your submission. Current Job Descriptions are available by clicking the Current Classifications link.

Quick Tips are available to assist supervisors with their role in the process.

We respectfully request that any questions be directed to Lucy Munoz (x6506) in the Human Resources Office or to Shelley Akiona (x6509) HR Representative/Process Facilitator.

The committee membership is represented by employees from:

o CSEA: Jim Codoni, Rosanne Faughn, Wendy Link
o Leadership Team: Spence Cooper, Martha Robles, Jeff Whalen
o HR Representative/Process Facilitator: Shelley Akiona
